Korean dramas are synonyms for handsome men, bubbly heroines, intense romance and intriguing screenplay. 2017 kickoff with a great pace for K-town with record-smashing hits like Goblin and Legend of the Blue Sea dominating the ratings. However, the high graph couldn't live up to the expectations. Eventually, the pace stumbled and until the end of 2017, K-town could produce only dramas with medium to average ratings. Amidst all the ups and down, the Korean filmdom never compromises on the number of hot-looking men. So here we take a look at some of the hottest K-drama lead from 2017.
Gong Yoo
Well, anything about 2017 is incomplete without the handsome Gong Yoo and his record-smashing drama Goblin. Fresh from the success of Train to Busan, Yoo instantly stole the hearts of fans with his amazing performance in this fantasy-romance. However, what stood out was his epic bromance with costar Lee Dong Wook. Be it the oversized coats (that became a fashion icon in Korea after the drama) or his amazing humour-laced dialogue delivery, Gong Yoo is the best and there is no doubt about it.
Lee Min Ho
And the name says it all! Ever since playing the iconic 'Gu Jun Pyo,' this handsome hunk is on the dream list of every k-drama fan. With The Legend of the Blue Sea, the actor tried his hands on fantasy romance with multiple storylines making it more interesting and intense.
Ji Chang Wook
He is handsome, he is macho, he is smart, he is also a great actor, he is Ji Chang Wook! Wook tried his hands on rom-com for the first time in Suspicious Partner and as always he was successful. Of course, he broke the hearts with his military enlistment announcement.
Park Hyung Sik
Probably one of the youngest actors to achieve a mass stardom in a short span of time. Park Hyung Sik literally made the hearts flutter with his cute role in Strong Woman Do Bong Soon. Up next he will be seen in the Korean remake of Suits.
Sung Hoon
Sung Hoon and romance go hand-in-glove! Probably one of the most eligible star to play the role of a rich heir. And every time he does it with ease. This year, his Secret Romance was no different.
Lee Min Ki
More than the star Lee Min Ki, it is the character Nam Se Hee from Because This is My First Life, that we are unable to get over. Min Ki played it with perfection and it was definitely one of the most refreshing dramas of the year.
Park Seo Joon
Hwarang, Fight for My Way and the feature film Midnight Runners have definitely placed Park Seo Joon on the top league this year.
Lee Jong Suk
Lee Jong Suk has this unique ability to create an electrifying chemistry with all his female costars. In his latest drama, While You Were Sleeping, his onscreen romance with Suzy was so intense that rumours of them dating in real-life popped up quite often. Truly a charmer!
Yeon Woo Jin
Be the comical Introverted Boss or the intense Queen for Seven Day or the thrilling Judge vs Judge, Yeon Woo Jin gets into the character to create a special place for him in the hearts of k-drama fans.
Yoo Seung Ho
His charming eyes and charismatic smile truly make him one of the desirable actors in K-town. This year, he craved a place with two dramas—The Emperor: Owner of the Mask Lee Sun and I'm Not a Robot.
