South Korean actor Song Joong-Ki mesmerized his fans at the Hong Kong leg of his Asian Fan tour over the weekend. Around 8,000 fans swarmed the Asia World Expo Arena in the city on Saturday to have a closer look at their favorite hallyu star.
This is the first time the 30-year-old is hosting a fan meet in Honk Kong on such a large scale though the actor has been in the city before for Descendants of the Sun promotions, and once for vacationing in the past.
While addressing his fans at the event, Joong-Ki admitted that the city famous for its skyline holds a special place in his heart. He told Yonhap: "Hong Kong is a special place for me because this was the first tourism spot that I visited after becoming an adult".
"I actually went to Lan Kwai Fong yesterday. I'm so happy to be holding my first fan meeting in Hong Kong today, and I was really surprised to see so many people here. Thank you so much," he added. Joong Ki also thanked his fans for their infinite love and strength. The actor stated: "When I'm having a difficult time, I think of your passion, and it's always energizing. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I'll repay you with good acting."
Meanwhile, the life line of Running Man, Le Kwang Soo, also joined his best friend at the fan meet. The duo shares an incredible friendship bond, and showcased great chemistry at the event. They both spent a wonderful time together and enthralled the audience with an enchnting duet.
