Four people, including a six-year-old girl, were killed in a roadside bomb explosion in Southern Philippines.
The explosion happened in Datu Saudi Ampatuan town in Maguindanao province Tuesday night, Manila Bulletin reported.
The car in which a family was travelling was ripped off in the blast, police said. They suspect the bomb was planted by Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom fighters who had a gunfight with security forces in the area.
The area often witnesses firefights between soldiers and the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters, a hardline group which broke away from the Moro Islamic Liberation Front.
