Michael Schumacher's manager says she remains hopeful that the Formula 1 legend will "one day be back with us."
In December 2013, the German was involved in an accident while he was skiing in France and suffered severe head injuries due to that. After several months of treatment, he was then able to come out of medically induced coma.
Schumacher was allowed to return to his home in Switzerland in September 2014, where he continues to receive treatment for the severe injuries he suffered over two years ago. His manager Sabine Kehm was present during the opening of the exhibition of the F1's legendary driver's career in Marburg, Germany and during the event, she gave an update on her client's latest health condition.
"He is the most successful driver in history and sometimes, on days like this, it is good to be reminded of it," Kehm said, as quoted by Sky Sports.
"Of course, Michael is not here and of course we miss him. We know what has happened and cannot change it.
"We must accept it and hope with everything we have that with continued support and patience he will one day be back with us. Racing was his life and no one would have liked to have been here more than him."
