Except Newcastle United and Swansea City, the remaining eight teams in the bottom half of the English Premier League table will be in action tonight.
Chelsea, Everton and West Brom have the opportunity to enter the top half of the table, where they might think they belong, while Watford, currently in tenth spot, might slip down. Perhaps more significantly, tonight's match gives Sam Allardyce's Sunderland the perfect opportunity to exit the relegation zone, while Alex Neil's Norwich will be hoping to stay out of that very zone.
Alan Pardew's Crystal Palace, who had bright start to the season, have failed to win any of their last ten matches. During this period, they've lost to Aston Villa, Bournemouth and most recently to West Brom. The only reason they're still in 14th spot is because this has been a freakish season, with teams below them performing even worse. They take on Sunderland tonight.
For Bournemouth it has been an up and down season, but they'll be hoping for a repeat of performances similar to December 2015, when they defeated Chelsea, Manchester United and West Brom back-to-back. But it'll not be easy tonight, as Southampton will be hurting post their late defeat against Chelsea and looking to strike back.
The West Brom players will be on a high after successive wins over Everton and Crystal Palace, but Leicester City have the firepower and perseverance to punish even a single mistake tonight, just like they did against Norwich during the weekend.
Even though Everton has been a poor shadow to its potential this season, they will be too strong for Aston Villa, who are almost certain to be relegated. Their previous meeting in the league this season had ended with a 4-0 Everton win.
We might witness significant movement within the bottom half tonight, with teams looking to cross the proverbial safety zone of over 40 points.
