Singapore's Changi Airport has been voted the world's best airport for the fourth consecutive year.
An annual global survey of air travellers showed South Korea's Incheon International Airport came in at the second position while the third and fourth places were occupied by Munich Airport and Tokyo International Airport (Haneda), respectively.
Hong Kong International Airport was in the fifth place.
The World Airport Awards survey assessed as many as 550 airports across the world. As many as 13.25 million travellers from 106 countries took part in the Skytrax survey.
"We do not take this recognition for granted; it is the extraordinary effort and commitment of the entire airport community that drives Changi's success. We thank our passengers and partners alike for their continued support and confidence in us," Changi Airport Group CEO Lee Seow said, according to Channel News Asia.
Skytrax said the vast array of leisure and entertainment facilities at Changi are a unique, stand-out feature. This underlines the dedication of this airport to ensure maximum levels of passenger satisfaction, it said.
"Singapore Changi Airport continues to innovate in both product and service options for its customers, and focus on making the customer experience at the airport as enjoyable and relaxing as possible," said Edward Plaisted, CEO of Skytrax.
"To be named by global travellers as the world's favourite airport for the 6th time in ten years is great reward not only to Changi Airport management, but for staff across every section of the airport who contribute in every little way to Changi Airport operation."
