Barbadian singer and songwriter Rihanna has opened up about the alleged feud with Beyonce. Rumours that the two are not in good terms started after the Halo singer dropped her single, Formation, the same week Chris Brown's former girlfriend released her album, Anti.
This was Rihanna's first album since her 2012 album, Unapologetic. She told Vogue: "Here's the deal. They just get so excited to feast on something that's negative. Something that's competitive. Something that's, you know, a rivalry. And that's just not what I wake up to. Because I can only do me. And nobody else is going to be able to do that."
Meanwhile, the 28-year-old FourFiveSeconds hitmaker was romantically linked to Canadian rapper Drake after the release of raunchy music video for her single Work. The pair first dated in 2009, and have been in an on and off relationship ever since.
However, Rihanna admitted her hectic work schedule does not allow her to have a relationship. She said: "My schedule is so crazy right now...It's definitely going to be a challenge when I do decide to pursue a relationship...but I have hope!"
During the interview, the We Found Love singer also discussed about her outfit which turned heads at the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Awards in 2014. At the event, Rihanna, who was honoured with the Fashion Icon Award, made a bold statement in a sheer backless halter dress, custom-made by designer Adam Selman and comprised of a total of 216,000 Swarovski crystals.
"I just liked it better without the lines underneath. Could you imagine the CFDA dress with a bra? I would slice my throat. I already wanted to, for wearing a thong that wasn't bedazzled. That's the only regret I have in my life," she said.
