Taiwanese actor Nicky Wu and Chinese actress Cecilia Liu Shishi have tied the knot in a grand affair at Ayana Resort and Spa in Bali. The wedding ceremony was reportedly officiated by actor Damian Lau.
According to a report in Straits Times, the groom got a little emotional during the vows, and controlled his tears. He said: "Since I was small, I've been through lot of unfair things and I've complained to God more than once."
"I blamed God for not being good to me, for being unfair to me, for putting me through a lot of strange suffering, for putting me through a lot of unhappy things. Now I understand why. Because God saved the best for me. I will listen to you," he continued.
The couple who met in 2011, during the shoot of Chinese drama Scarlet Heart announced their relationship in 2013. The two have been planning for the wedding banquet from the last five months.
If the rumors are to be believed, the 45 year-old-actor had kept "unlimited budget" for the wedding and deployed six private jets for the guests and other wedding preparation. Adding on, the special edition wedding ring set which was specially designed by DeBeers for Shishi cost $2.5m, and her Dolce and Gabbana dress that she wore to meet the media, was reportedly priced at $630,000.
