The year 2016 can safely be called a year of devices with 6GB Ram. Every other day you wake up with a news of some Chinese brand launching a new device with top notch hardware and "6GB RAM".
However, now it seems it's the turn of mainstream companies to take up the mantle. If it was LeEco which announced Le Max 2 a couple of days ago,, it is now Lenovo's Sub-brand Zuk which has come out with Zuk Z2 Pro. Lenovo is calling it the true flagship smartphone of this year.
Going by what Lenovo claims. Zuk Z2 Pro comes with many features that are the industry first. Hence, Lenovo calls it the true flagship smartphone of this year. Zuk Z2 Pro comes with a 5.2 inch full HD AMOLED display. The screen is protected by a 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass 3 panel.
It gets processing power from the latest Snapdragon 820 chipset and you get 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage out of the box. Both RAM and Storage definitely makes it a high-end device. However, this also means that another stripped down variant with 4GB RAM and 64 GB storage will be coming soon.
ZUK Z2 Pro comes with a 13MP ISOCELL rear camera with 1.34μm pixels, F/1.8 aperture and PDAF and 4K video recording. An 8 MP/1.4μm pixels front camera; is present in the device to take care of selfies. The front camera is also capable of monitoring your heart beat rates. The phone also features OIS and EIS, dual image stabilization.
This phone comes packed with 10 sensors that a gravity sensor, 3-axis gyroscope, three-axis magnetic sensor, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, heart rate, blood oxygen sensor, a pressure sensor, ultraviolet sensors, and Hall effect sensor, another industry first. Zuk has also got a Health app that makes use of these sensors and keeps a thorough check on your body.
Other normal connectivity options are USB Type-C 3.1, QC 3.0, full Netcom 3.0 standard, 4G+ VoLTE, and international roaming. The device comes with a 3100mAh capacity battery with Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0 support. The 6GB + 128GB ROM variant will go on sale for just 2699 Yuan ($416). Registrations start on April 22 from 10 AM in China.
