Restore your jailbroken devices with new SemiRestore tool for OS X

Mac users finally get a supported version of SemiRestore for OS X 10.11.

Mac users are in for some exciting news as Cool Star has now released the SemiRestore tool for OS X 10.11. The developer adds that the tool is not yet tested on OS X 10.9 and 10.10, but it may still work on the older Mac firmware.

As the developer notes in his ReadMe file, the SemiRestore for OS X has been found working fine on the test device. However, the tool has not been extensively tested to work on different OS X/iOS devices.

Furthermore, the developer has cautioned users that no technical support will be provided for using this tool on Mac OS and users will be doing it at their own risk.

Novice users should note that the SemiRestore tool will come in handy to restore any jailbroken device to factory settings without removing the jailbreak. The tool could be particularly useful for restoring certain corrupt system files in your OS X, especially if your device is facing frequent freezes, system crashes or Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) error messages.

As the developer clarifies, the SemiRestore for OS X has been tested on two iOS devices using Hackintosh systems running OS X 10.11.4 and 10.11.5.

Although the tool has been provided for evaluation purpose, it does not come with any software technical support of warranty of any kind and users are advised to proceed at their own risk.

Interested users with jailbroken devices may download the latest version of SemiRestore for Windows, Linux, or Mac from the tool's official website.
