Song Joong Ki has yet again topped the list of Brand Power Ranking among the Korean celebrities for the month of June. The Descendants of the Sun actor is followed by his rumoured lady love, Song Hye Kyo, who has been awarded the second place. As per Soompi, the outcome is based on the research of approximately 35 million pieces of data from 17 different well-loved actors in the entertainment industry.
As per the report, the popularity score of Joong Ki recorded a 50% shoot-up as compared to his score for the previous month. However, the marking of Hye Kyo saw a 43% hike. According to the media outlet, the Brand Power ranking is normally analyzed considering many media and communicative factors in mind. Although, the weight-age of social value is not measured to calculate the list of actor's brand power.
Meanwhile, many hallyu actors including Cha Seung Won, Song Kang Ho, Choi Min Sik, Ha Jung Woo, Yoo Hae Jin and Hwang Jung showed a surge in their brand power graph.
Commenting on the power rankings, Gu Chang Hwan from the Korean Business Research Institute stated: "We conclude that Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo maintain their positions as first and second through the many CFs they currently star in, following the end of 'Descendants of the Sun.' We also came to the conclusion that the downward trend of brand power is slowly increasing once again."
