Augmented-Reality game 'Pokemon GO' global rollout suspended

Niantic Labs' CEO confirms the delay in global rollout of Pokemon GO.

Niantic Labs, the Pokemon GO developer has temporarily suspended the global rollout of the game owing to the peak traffic on its game servers that are unable to cope up with the rising user-demand for the new augmented-reality game. Consequently, the users who have already installed the game could be experiencing unexpected game crashes and app slowdowns.

The game developer has confirmed in its recent tweet that it will be halting the rollout of Pokemon GO to remaining countries until it is done fixing all server issues.

In a recent interview with Business Insider, the Niantic Labs' CEO John Hanke said to the publication that the global rollout will be "paused" until the player overload problem is resolved with its game servers.

Curious gamers across the globe will have to wait a little longer, except for those residing in the US, Australia, New Zealand and Japan wherein the game has been officially rolled out via the iTunes App Store for iOS and Google Play Store for Android.

Meanwhile, some Pokemon fans have suggested on Facebook that the unofficial Pokemon GO APK version can be downloaded via Google search, which can work regardless of your country or region. However, if you are doing such things then you might be inviting the wrath of legitimate users as the game servers are already overloaded with peak traffic and it's only going to get worse.

It is a wiser option to wait for some more time as the game developer has promised to sort out server issues by adding more game servers and balancing the load before making the global rollout.
