The first Korean Zombie movie, Train to Busan, has brought in great luck for actor Gong Yoo. The 37-year-old is reaching new heights with the thriller movie doing incredibly well at the box office.
The movie recently hit the 10 million viewers mark, which has landed Yoo to the top most position on the Brand Power Ranking among the Korean celebrities in the month of August. While Yoo topped the chart in July, he managed to safeguard his position this month as well.
Another Korean celebrity who is settling well at the second position from two consecutive months is Ha Jung Woo. His film Tunnel is shooting up at the movie chart and so is Woo's popularity.
Meanwhile, the handsome heart-throb, Song Joong Ki, is slipping down in the ranking. The 31-year-old is sitting at the third position. These days Joong Ki is not doing much on Korean entertainment scene and this may be the reason for the downward graph. Apparently, the actor is currently shooting for his upcoming movie, Battleship Island, which is scheduled for a next year release.
On the other side, Song Hye Kyo has managed to crawl upward to secure her position just below her rumored boyfriend Song Joong Ki. The actress was on 8th rank, however, the August rating gave her the comfort of the 4th rank.
