YG Entertainment's rookie girl group Black Pink staged its last winning performance on SBS's Inkigayo on Sunday. The girl's are reportedly taking a break from the outdoor activities to prepare for a comeback in coming months.
This week's episode of Inkigayo staged some fun filled energetic performances from all the participants, including a special set up from MCs Kim Min Seok, Gong Seung Yeon and TWICE's Jungyeon. The latest broadcast showcased Black Pink's quirky performance, Red Velvet's steaming comeback, GA In return and MOBB debut unit special. As for unplugged version, MONSTA X's Kihyun, BTOB's Hyunsik and After School's Raina came in together to bowl over the crowd.
The last winning battle for the week was staged between Han Dong Geun and Black Pink, however, the sensational four member girl group took home the trophy for Whistles, while Dong Geun was placed second for Making a New Ending for This Story. The third position also went to Black Pink for their monster hit single Boombayah.
Meanwhile, the girl group is said to make a comeback with some good quality music for its fans, sometime in October. Revealing further plans, the staffer told Soompi : "In return we plan on accelerating work on new songs following the wrap up of activities. We think the best way to repay fans' support is to make a comeback with high quality music. We plan on more varied activities for the next album."
Black Pink which consists of Jisoo, Jennie, Rose and Lisa, will be unveiling at least two new songs this year, while four other music videos are still in discussion state.
