EXO fans are worried with rumours that D.O. is leaving the group. Speculations that the 23-year-old singer, whose real name is Do Kyung So, is quitting the boy band started after he did not return to South Korea from Japan after EXO wrapped up their concert in the country on 5 October.
Many terrified fans blamed his acting career for lack of interest in music. Allkpop quoted a fan as saying: "He already seemed like he didn't want to be an idol anymore. He said in an interview that he didn't want to get skin care like idols. He has acting disease so he thinks being an idol isn't worth it."
SM Entertainment is yet to release an official announcement about the issue. This comes after D.O. revealed he will not be accepting any gifts from fans. Instead, he asked his fans to keep supporting him with their love.
On behalf of the boy band member, D.O. Fan Union shared his decision in Korean, English, Japanese, and Chinese on Twitter. The announcement read: "We'd like to express Kyungsoo's opinion that he thanks all his fans for their continuous and unlisted love and that he will accept only their heart. For this reason, there will be no more support, with the production report conference of the movie 'Pure Love' for our last support. Although we cannot directly support Kyungsoo through his company anymore, we will continue to support him through other ways. Please provide our warm-hearted Kyungsoo with greater love and fantastic support. We thank all of you for being with us."
