Two members of girl group Red Velvet have been reportedly hurt in a road accident. The youngest members of the band, Seulgi and Yeri, sustained minor injuries while they were returning from a break in a taxi on Monday.
While the exact cause of the car crash is not known, it is said that the accident happened due to the carelessness of the taxi driver. Nobody was critically harmed, but the girls did walk away with slight trauma. Currently, the two members are on rest, and will take a temporary break from their activities.
After the car collision, Red Velvet's label also released a statement giving out details of the happenings. SM Entertainment told My Daily: "Yesterday around 10 pm (KST), Red Velvet's Seulgi and Yeri were returning from a break and were heading to their dorm in a taxi. Near Sungsu-dong, due to the taxi drivers failure to take caution, they ran into a sweeper truck and the accident caused minor injuries."
"They were rushed to the hospital right away and received prompt treatment. Currently, the two are resting in their dorm, and the two will temporarily halt all promotions to focus on recovering, " the agency relayed.
