Apple has officially sent the press invites for its 'Hello Again' event on 27 October. Avid Mac users are in for some exciting news as the company will be upgrading its MacBook lineup with the release of new MacBook Pro that debuts USB Type-C connector and Thunderbolt 3 support.
The Mac-centric event will be hosted by Tim Cook and his executive team on 27 October at 10am PST at the Apple Town Hall in Cupertino Campus, California. With special members of the press attending the invite-only event, the company will be offering the first official glimpse at all the innovation and creativity put through the last few years.
The forthcoming MacBook Pro is also expected to incorporate a bunch of ports that already exist on the 12-inch model. It will reportedly include a slimmer and lighter unibody design along with the critically acclaimed OLED touch-bar feature, which enables function keys to be mapped according to varying user needs.
The Touch ID sensor will be embedded directly into the power button, so that only an authorised user can turn on the device using the biometric scanner on the MacBook Pro. The 11-inch MacBook Air runs the risk of discontinuation as Apple is poised to unveil a new 12-inch MacBook Air while retaining the 13-inch MacBook Air model along with upgraded specs.
A brand new standalone 5K display unit and a couple of refreshed iMac and Mac Pro models are also on the cards at the upcoming Hello Again Mac event.
