A video of a toddler dragging his toy car through a busy road while cars zoom by without helping him in Lishui city of Zhejiang province in China has taken the internet by storm.
It is reported that the footage was captured by a CCTV at a busy road junction in the city at around 8am but remains undated.
In the nail-biting video, the child, who appears to be two to three years old, is seen calmly wading through busy road while sitting in his toy car. Moreover, it is seen that honking traffic brushes past the boy without stopping to help him.
The video gives goosebumps at one point of time when the child is seemed to have disappeared after a passing bus blocks him from the camera's view.
Eventually, a traffic police officer, identified as Wu Feng, spotted the boy in the middle of the traffic. Feng quickly rushed across the road and picked up the boy and his toy car and carried them to safety.
"The boy was dangerously close to traffic, so I picked him up and took him onto the pavement. He told me he had become separated from his mum and was looking for her," said Feng, according to the Straits Times. "The mum was later found and her son was returned to her," he added.
However, police could not figure out how the boy slipped his parents' attention and ended up between busy traffic.
