Keeping up to its reputation of coming up with the most bizarre creations, Japan on 10 November showcased dinosaur robots ahead of a proposed entertainment park aiming towards giving real life experience of Jurassic Park to the visitors.
Japanese firm On-Art Corp comes up with human controlled life-size dinosaurs robots which stomps and roars much like the real extinct monsters.
In one live demonstration organised in a hotel hall, audiences were scared out of their wits when an enormous Tyrannosaurus rex came out from the backstage, followed by an allosaurus and a raptor. The act was directed as if few caretakers were trying to control the reptiles and at one point in time, the T-rex seemed to munch off one of the caretaker's head.
It was reported that the dinosaur replicas, which are around eight metres high, were modelled from fossilised skeletons and made of carbon fibre materials. Moreover, experts also said that they studied actual muscle structure of the creatures before moulding the models.
Reuters reported that the CEO of On-Art Corp Kazuya Kanemaru said that he wanted to create a "Dino-A-Park" where dinosaur fans could experience the creatures as seen in Steven Spielberg's blockbuster Jurassic Park. Meanwhile, the robots are being used for several other events in Japan.
