For months, the fans of The Vampire Diaries have been speculating the return of Nina Dobrev to the series one last time. It seems like, speculations of the fans weren't quite wrong as Nina Dobrev accidentally confirms the same.
In a recent interview, The Vampire Diaries' actress played coy, when she was asked whether she'll be back to the show or not. She, with a sly smile, mentioned it to be a "good question" without getting much into the details. She further said, "You should ask the producers. You should ask the powers that be above."
As Dobrev did not completely deny her comeback viewers took it to be a positive sign. Even the producer Julie Plec most recently hinted that Dobrev may return to the show for one final time.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Plec hinted that Dobrev could possibly return and that too as Katherine, Elena's doppelganger. When Plec was asked whether it was a hint that Nina will be coming back to the show as Katherine, she coyly replied Entertainment Weekly, "I will confirm nothing, but the visual similarities are not accidental."
Before the series takes its final bow, Nina is expected to return for one final time as when it was announced that Season 8 would be the last of The Vampire Diaries, Nina promised to come back.
Plec made it sure when she made a statement about Nina's promise saying, "Not to put too much pressure on anything, but a promise was made." According to The Inquisitr, the producer, Julie Plec mentioned, "There's been friendship promises made, and now we'll see if we can deliver on them."
Now that the burning question every fan had in mind is indirectly answered, the viewers can patiently wait for Nina's return for one final time in The Vampire Diaries.
