British Boxer Amir Khan's wife has come up claims that she was abused by her in-laws. Faryal Makhdoom has opened up about the torture from her husband's family on her Snapchat account.
Makhdoom went on a rant about Khan's family, and in a series of screenshots, she said: "Don't get your sons married if you're going to abuse and bully the wife. I've always been so quiet but seriously, this message is for everyone! When you bring someone's daughter, treat her as your own. Your son will be much happier and so will you."
"I worked my a** off on a catwalk from 7am till 12am at night. My husband is a multi-millionaire but still work and do my own as I can never touch his BLOOD money, when I have a right too! And then I get hating evil sister-in-laws sh***ing on me?"
She alleges: "My husband has done far more than any son has done. And far more than any brother has done. But why is he treated so bad? Jealousy? Hatred for his wife? That's disgusting."
"When you force your son to divorce his wife, when she's nine months pregnant!!! And your son doesn't ... and he sticks besides his wife. He's called a p***y? Ok, I'm guessing Islam teaches us to get married and divorce our wives and treat them bad???"
Makhdoom added: "What about when your sisters-in-law come to hit you when your husband is not home and still you don't raise your hand out of respect for your husband! Then they think it's okay to bully you in public and call you BAD! Get the f**k out of here."
"Let me stop. God is my witness and that's why I'm living a great life with my husband and beautiful daughter. Free of jealousy and hatred of anyone — that's too much energy wasted on a bunch of lame online bullies...Khan family is definitely respected. And that's because of AMIR KHAN, not a bunch of robbing, selfish, unappreciated PEOPLE!" she concluded.
Makhdoom later shared a screenshot of the Snapchat stories on Twitter, and thanked her followers for the support. She tweeted: "Damn! The amount of love and support I get from you guys in unbelievable. Thanks a lot❤️ I love you guys x"
Khan and Makhdoom announced their engagement in January 2012, and tied the knot in New York City in June 2013. The couple welcomed their daughter, Lamaisah in 2014.
