The 66th annual Miss World pageant will be held on 18 December at the MGM National Harbor. At the end of the extravagant show, one of the contestants will be crowned winner by Miss World 2015 Mireia Lalaguna Royo.

Meanwhile, the Miss World 2016 beauty pageant revealed the top five finalists of the Beauty with a Purpose challenge and the contestants are Miss India Priyadarshini Chatterjee, Miss Philippines Catriona Gray, Miss Kenya Evelyn Njambi Thungu, Miss Nepal Asmi Shrestha and Miss Indonesia Natasha Mannuela. Miss China PR won the Top Model Competition, and Miss Cook Islands won the sports challenge.
Miss World 2013 Megan Young will host the event.
