JetBlue Airways asked a passenger to leave the flight after he was embroiled in a verbal argument with the US President-elect Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka Trump. It was reported that the man had a quarrel with the 35-year-old business woman about her father's policies.
The incident was reported from New York's John F. Kennedy Airport on 22 December. TMZ said the man was ejected from the plane after he insulted the future presidents' daughter.
"Your father is ruining the country... Why is she on our flight? She should be flying private," said the man, according to the entertainment News agency. The flight was flying from New York to Florida.
It was also reported that Trump, who was travelling with her husband Jared Kushner and her three children, tried to ignore the man and was busy distracting her kids with crayons. However, the man was removed from the flight following the incident. "You're kicking me off for expressing my opinion?" shouted the man as he was taken towards the exit by airline personnel, according to the report.
Agence France-Presse reported that JetBlue officials confirmed that a passenger had been removed from the flight and the decision was not taken lightly. "If the crew determines that a customer is causing conflict on the aircraft, the customer will be asked to deplane, especially if the crew feels the situation runs the risk of escalation during flight," said the New York-based airline, as reported.
"In this instance, our team worked to re-accommodate the party on the next available flight," he added. Donald Trump was elected as president after the 2016 election and Ivanka is expected to play an important role in the Republican government.
