Alien enthusiasts and UFO hunters are going bonkers after a monkey-like alien creature is seen crouching over the ground in a Nasa image of Mars surface.
In the image, taken by the Nasa Curiosity rover, shows a hairy creature resembling a spider staring directly at the rover as it rolls by. UFO blogger and Editor of ufosightingsdaily.com, Scott C Waring, said that the picture is a solid evidence of life on Mars. He also said that he has spotted other peculiar objects which validate his claim of life existing on Mars, a snail, a human-like figure sitting down, some houses, some faces and decorative foundation corners.
"The longer upper arms are holding it up as well as its shorter lower legs. If you add light to the face, you can easily make out two eyes. As you can see, this animal is watching the Mars rover," said Waring, according to the express.
These images, not only sparked frenzy among netizens but also fuelled the long-standing conspiracy theories that claim US Air Force has a symbiotic relationship with aliens. One of such theories states that a species of aliens knows as the "Tall Whites" are actually based at Nellis Air Force Base and top officials get hold of alien technology in exchange of some useful material that are sought after by the extraterrestrial beings.
Talking about the so-called betrayal of the US government over informing the public about the existence of alien life, Waring said, "We the public no longer need to depend on the US government to drop feed us information about life on Mars and other celestial bodies."
"We are taking the initiative and we have proven on this site that life exists a thousand times over," he added, as reported.
He also explained the possible reason why NASA covered up such a path-breaking find. "Somewhere along the line, Americans got lost and began depending on the government for all their important information...but some information is a threat to national security...such as UFO technology and alien intelligence, so they can't announce it," said the alien hunter, the news website reported.
However, NASA and other scientists give a completely different explanation. Experts point out that the so-called alien figure is of the exact colour as its surroundings and can very well be just an oddly shaped rock. Scientists also said that this is another hoax and the UFO hunters are being victims of Pareidolia, which a psychological phenomenon involving a stimulus which triggers the mind to see familiar patterns of things where none actually exists. "This happens when the brain tricks the eyes into seeing familiar objects or shapes such as animals or faces in textures like clouds or rock surfaces," said scientist, as reported.
Moreover, this is not the first time that an 'alien' being spotted on the Mar's surface. Earlier people have reportedly seen a spoon, a cloaked woman, a crashed UFO, a helmet and even a pyramid. However, while most of these claims were proved to be hoaxes, some of them were discovered as bizarre shaped rocks.
