Song Joong Ki and Park Bo Gum got emotional at the 2016 KBS Drama Awards which took place on 31 December. The 23-year-old actor thanked the Descendants of the Sun star when he picked up the Male Top Excellence Award at the event.
During his acceptance speech, Bo Gum could not hold back his tears. He said: "When I was working on 'Moonlight Drawn by Clouds,' I felt like I was very lacking. But I'm grateful to Song Joong Ki, who gave me advice every time."
"He's a very good senior actor at my company. I had a really hard time while I was filming this drama, and I couldn't find a balance. Song Joong Ki understood that more than anyone else, and he gave me a lot of advice, so I wanted to say that I'm really grateful," he added.
During the ceremony, Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo received the Grand Award for their work in Descendants of the Sun. During his speech, he wiped away tears before he said: "Park Bo Gum made me cry."
The duo are represented by the same agency, Blossom Entertainment.
