Bella Hadid is reportedly heartbroken after it was revealed that Selena Gomez is dating The Weeknd. The pair had split in November 2016 after dating for a year and a half.
The Starboy hitmaker and Justin Bieber's former girlfriend were seen kissing while leaving dinner at Giorgio Baldi restaurant on 10 January in Santa Monica, California. A source told Hollywood Life: "Bella [Hadid] feels like she's been stabbed in the back. She just doesn't understand why Selena is flaunting her relationship with The Weeknd."
The insider added: "The least she can do is be private about it. Bella never, ever saw this coming and thinks Selena should have called her first out of courtesy, instead of making out with him in public for the whole world to see. She's also surprised how easily The Weeknd has moved on. It's only been two months. This is all very hurtful."
The Weeknd whose real name is Abel Tesfaye and Gigi Hadid's sister were first linked together in April 2015 when he asked her to be in the artwork for his album, Beauty Behind the Madness. The two made their first red carpet appearance as a couple at the 2016 Grammys.
Bella told Glamour magazine at time: "It was a big night for him. He has worked so hard, and he did so well that night. As a girlfriend I wanted to be there to support him. Seeing him so happy when he won a Grammy made me so happy."
She added: "I'm dating Abel. I don't see him as The Weeknd. I'm proud of The Weeknd and the music he makes, but I really love Abel."
