OnePlus has lived up to its fan expectations with the release of OxygenOS 4.0.2 bug-fix update for the nagging Google Play Store and Proximity Sensor issues. This is the second incremental update for Android Nougat based OxygenOS, after several users reportedly complained about issues with proximity sensor during calls and the inability to download apps via Google Play Store.
As the update is still rolling out in a phased manner for both OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T, some users may have to wait a bit longer than expected. However, you can manually check for the update by going to the device's Settings > About Device or Software update section.
According to the OnePlus staff member 'Tony L', here is the full changelog for OxygenOS 4.0.2:
- Improved Shelf Customization
- Updated APN Settings for select Carriers
- Fixed Proximity Sensor bug during calls
- Fixed Google Play Store download bug
- Increased System Stability
As confirmed by various reports, the Wi-Fi connectivity problem still persists on some OnePlus devices after installing the new bug-fix update. So, you may try resetting your Wi-Fi network settings or try forgetting the known network and then reconnect with an authorised password.
