Lady Gaga has been specifically asked to make no comment on politics or on President-elect Donald Trump. She has been given the restrictive instructions to refrain from delivering any comment related to the the topic of politics and government.
The 'Born This Way' singer was given the specific instructions to abandon the controversial topic on her upcoming performance at the Super Bowl stage. Lady Gaga will be doing the entire Super Bowl Halftime Show alone and as reported by ET, a source close to the show mentioned: "Lady Gaga was told by the NFL that she cannot say anything or bring anything up about the election, or mention Donald Trump."
An NFL representative also regarded it as "nonsense from people trying to stir up controversy where there is none. The Super Bowl is a time when people really come together".
"Lady Gaga is focused on putting together an amazing show for fans and we love working with her on it; we aren't going to be distracted by this," the NFL statement added. There were also rumours reporting that Lady Gaga is planning a potentially dangerous performance in which she will be seen singing from the roof of Houston's NRG Stadium. Sources of ET have confirmed that these all are just rumours built around the popular upcoming show by the singer.
Regarding the rumours, another representative for the NFL said: "People will have to wait and see what we have in store – we never comment on speculation about the show because there is so much misinformation that surfaces. But we are confident Lady Gaga will put on a tremendous show for fans."
The singer's strong opinions about the last presidential elections have already been making headlines and her strong support for Hillary Clinton was quite evident by her past actions. Therefore in view of her past comments, the Super Bowl show has advised her not to stir another probable controversy.
