Norsyafiq Norman: No clue so far about Singaporean missing in Australia

Queensland police have released a statement seeking information on the 23-year-old missing person.

Queensland police have launched a search operation for a Singapore man who has been missing since 17 January. The police released a statement seeking information on the 23-year-old missing person, identified as Norsyafiq Norman.

"Police are seeking public assistance to help locate a Singaporean national who may be in the Brisbane city area," Queensland said. Police officers have urged people to immediately call or use an online form if they have any information on Norsyafiq Norman, who they described as "175cm tall and has a slim build and black hair".

According to the police statement, Norman was last seen at a hotel on Ann Street on Tuesday afternoon and did not even turn up for his departing flight in the night. His family also reported that they did not get any call or message from him.

When The Straits Times contacted Singapore Airlines (SIA), the ailine confirmed that one of its passengers was missing. A spokesperson from the airlines offered help to his family and said that SIA is working closely with Brisbane authorities to locate him.

"We are working closely with the local authorities in Brisbane to locate a member of our cabin crew, who did not report for duty on Jan 17 and we are in contact with the family of the crew to offer assistance," he said, as reported.
