Overview
Manchester City suffered a 4-0 embarrassing defeat at the hands of Everton in their last league fixture. The defeat in Merseyside saw the Citizens slip out of top four in the Premier League table.
Pep Guardiola will be wanting to set things right when his side host Tottenham Hotspur in the next league clash. The north London club were the one who handed the Catalan manager his first defeat since taking over at the Etihad last October.
Tottenham are high on confidence after their impressive winning streak since their 1-0 defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford in December. Mauricio Pochettino will be looking for another win when his side face City on Saturday.
A defeat for City could probably dent their hope of winning the title and could slip further down the table, depending on results elsewhere. Tottenham will be pushing for a win in order to maintain the pressure at the top of the table.
