Kim Eun Sook, the writer of the recently ended popular drama "Goblin", revealed that in her next project she would like to cast Kang Dong Won or Won Bin. The tvN drama ended with a high viewership rating of 20 percent according to the data revealed by Nielsen Korea. No wonder fans are eagerly waiting for the next project of the 'Goblin' writer who also gave other hit shows like 'Descendants of the Sun' and 'Heirs'.
When Kim Eun Sook was asked about her future projects, she said: "To start, I am going to have a 3-month vacation, resting period. After resting, I will start to work towards my next project and will be aiming to complete it by the first half of next year."
According to allkpop, the writer wishes to star Won Bin or Kang Dong Won in her next drama. As Kim Eun Sook is not only known for her captivating storyline but her trend to have a star studded cast. It quite evident in her notable dramas as Lee Min Ho starred in "Heirs", Hyun Bin in "Secret Garden", "A Gentleman's Dignity" starring Jang Dong Gun and as for "Descendants of the Sun", and the drama made Song Joong Ki a star and Gong Yoo in the recently concluded drama "Goblin".
In fact, Gong Yoo revealed he was offered roles by Kim Eun Sook again and again in a span of five years but he kept on rejecting before he agreed to work on "Goblin." "Writer Kim has been really kind, offering me roles over and over again. The reason I rejected previous offers was not because I feel like I was special, but because I was afraid of shooting a drama," said Gong Yoo, as reported by Yahoo.
The 37-year-old actor explained: "Unless it is a pre-made drama, the physical conditions are quite different. I am not putting the blame on the environment, but as an actor, I want to show my performance when I am in my best condition."
