Overview

Sunderland suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of West Bromwich Albion in the last Premier League fixture. Out of the five fixtures they have played in this calendar year, the Black Cats settled for two draws, which were against Liverpool and Burnley, followed by three defeats.

David Moyes' side are without a win since their 1-0 win over Watford in December. The former Manchester United manager has made several high addition to the squad in January and the Scot will be hoping they can fire them to glory.

Tottenham Hotspur, on the other hand, registered a narrow 4-3 win over Wycombe Wanderers in the fourth round of the FA Cup at home. The north London club were forced to come from behind on three occasions before Son Heung-min scored the winner in the stoppage time.

Mauricio Pochettino will be hoping his side can add more misery on Sunderland by defeating them in front of the home fans on Tuesday. However, Tottenham should be wary about their former player, Jermain Defoe, who is leading Sunderland's strike force.
