Motorola Deutschland (aka @Moto_GER) has recently confirmed on its official Twitter handle that the rollout of Android 7.0 update for Moto Z Play has been delayed until March. The confirmation clearly overrides its previously expected release for Nougat update which was set for January end.
Meanwhile, the Moto G family of devices including the Moto G4, G4 Plus and G4 Play, have their Nougat rollout pushed back to mid-February from an earlier proposed release date set for January end.
Moto Z Play users in Portugal have already received the Android 7.0 Nougat update just a week ago, while its rollout has been delayed for some reason across the rest of the world.
Although Moto G4 and G4 Plus received the Nougat update in all major countries where the handset is available for sale, it did not roll out for the users in Germany as the company had then confirmed via Twitter that the update for Moto G4 Plus will be rolled out in the country by the end of January 2017.
Such an extended delay for Motorola's flagship handsets (G4 and G4 Plus) seems a bit disappointing, especially when other Moto devices are slowly embracing the Nougat update in a phased manner. Nevertheless, we just hope that there are no further delays this time around.
