Several users are reporting unexpected crashing issues with the Settings app in Android 7.1.2 beta as a flurry of complaints are currently being registered on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) Issue Tracker platform.
Nexus 5X and Pixel smartphone users running Android 7.1.2 beta have clarified that the issue triggers when you click on the gear icon in upper right corner of the WiFi settings menu.
Although there is no viable solution available at the moment, a project member from Google has forwarded the complaint to the company's development team.
It may be recalled that Google had rolled out the Android 7.1.2 beta for beta testers and developers just a few days ago, with a handful of bug fixes and feature enhancements. It now seems there is a long way to go, before Google could rollout a bug-free final release for Android 7.1.2.
