The highly-popular Xiaomi Mi Mix was recently spotted running Android 7.0 on Geekbench test, which fuels speculation that the company is currently testing the update with its imminent public-beta release almost certain. Although there is no official announcement yet, Xiaomi is reportedly working on the Nougat OTA rollout for the Mi Mix.
The leaked screenshot from Geekbench further strengthens this claim, suggesting that the new Nougat ROM is already under testing. If there is any truth to the rumours, the Mi Mix will become the second Xiaomi device to get the Nougat update after Mi 5 which got the update in December.
In related news, various reports suggest that Xiaomi is working on a new MIUI 8 ROM which will be based on Android 7.0 Nougat and replace the existing Marshmallow (Android 6.0.1) based MIUI ROM on the Mi Mix.
Although there is still no word on the exact release date for the Nougat beta update, it is expected to be rolled out in the next few weeks.
