Along with the much anticipated launch of the Redmi Note 4X and Xiaomi Mi6, the Chinese electronics company is also gearing up to announce two new smart home products on this Valentine's Day, February 14.
The company has declared on their Mi Home Weibo page that it will launch a new smart guitar and a wrist watch for kids. The best part of this new smart six-string music instrument is that it can teach the beginners and new learners how to play it in just 10 minutes. However impossible the prospect may seem, this is what the company is claiming.
According to a report on GizmoChina, the instructional video for the device shows that LED lights will be incorporated in the smart guitar, which will then glow up in real time as the user finger-plucks the strings. The smart guitar is expected to be available at a price tag of between 1,000-2,000 yuan.
The main reason for this product to stand out is that, although there are many apps and external devices available in the market to help aid in learning guitar, there aren't any instance of basic guitars fitted with any type of smart technology. Time will tell whether the technology is really as smart as Xiaomi claims it to be.
The other product, a smart wrist watch for kids with GPS functionality, is described as an "all-weather device with "space-based radio navigation and positioning system". Yes, with the GPS being attached to the product makes it more like a child tracker disguised as a wristwatch.
Being a smart product, it ought to come with a compatible app that might allow parents to assign safe zones for the children to be in. Both this products are said to be launched on Valentine's Day this year at 10 a.m.
Meanwhile, it is widely assumed that on that very day, Xiaomi will also launch the Redmi Note 4X, successor to last year's Redmi Note 4, while the Xiaomi Mi 6 is rumoured to be launched at the Mobile World Congress later this month.
Redmi Note 4X has already received a TENAA certification and has been spotted in multiple leaks online. In terms of specification, the Redmi Note 4X is expected to sport a 5.5-inch full HD display and be powered with a MediaTek Helio X20 chipset paired with 4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB internal storage options. Also, it will allegedly boast a 13-megapixel rear camera, although, specifications of the selfie-camera is still unknown. The smartphone is likely to come fuelled by a 4,100mAh battery. On the software front, the Redmi Note 4X could run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with MIUI 8.1 layered above.
So, Xiaomi is all set with its Valentine's Day gifts, are you?
