Lee Sung Kyung will be back on-screen with a new role in an upcoming SBS drama. The 26-year-old model-turned-actress received a lot of praises for playing her role in MBC's Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo, and is now getting a lot of offers from various projects.
Reportedly, the actress is being offered the lead role for the upcoming SBS drama which is tentatively titled "Watch Out For This Woman."
The statement of Lee's label YG Entertainment obtained by Korean newsoutlet News Nate, as cited by Soompi stated: "Lee Sung Kyung has been approached to appear in the drama, and is currently reviewing the offer. Lee Sung Kyung is indeed one of the potential candidates for the leading role."
If Lee accepts the offer, she will be playing Eun Bong-Hee who was a former taekwondo athlete and is now a judicial apprentice.
Reportedly, the producing-director (PD) of the upcoming drama "Watch Out For This Woman" will be Park Sun Ho. The actress, however, finds herself a suspect in a murder case.
The scriptwriter will be Kwon Ki Young, whose other well-known projects include 2015 drama "Hello Monster" police procedural drama
According to the reports, "Watch Out For This Woman" is scheduled to premiere on May 10 and would take over the Monday-Tuesday 10:00 PM (KST) slot where currently "Saimdang, Light's Diary" starring Lee Young-Ae and Song Seung Heon is being aired.
In other news, recently, Lee featured on the cover of Korea's Cosmopolitan, February issue. In the magazine, as cited by TV Report the actress admitted she wants to be a singer like she always dreamt of and would like to enter the musical stage as well.
The actress said: "I want to sing often to release stress." She added. "But I lived in an apartment, so I drive and sing."
