Heavy rainfall has caused flooding across the Gaza Strip and Israel, forcing people to evacuate from their makeshift homes. Refugees' impoverished homes in the Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip were inundated as a winter storm hit the region. The authorities have issued flood warnings for the Judean Desert and Dead Sea regions.
The Ministry of Education in Gaza has closed all schools due to the persistent bad weather, while some universities suspended classes. Muhammad Al-Maydana, Gaza civil defence spokesman told Ma'an News Agency that ten homes were severely flooded in the northern Gaza Strip neighbourhood of Saftawi and had to be evacuated. However, he added that no one was injured.
The authorities said the emergency crews were working continuously to deal with the consequences of the inclement weather. In this picture story, IBTimes Singapore has compiled a series of the photos of the areas worst affected by the floods.
