Korean boy band BTS, also known as Bangtan Boys, needs no introduction. The team has now released the MV for their next single "Not Today."
Billboard opined: "The video is a dance-heavy clip propelled by the song's pounding rhythm, which is emphasized by the precise, stomping choreography." A propulsive synth-hip hop banger, this dance-heavy song send out a strong message that the band is here to stay.
The single is a part of the four new tracks on 'WINGS' epilog, 'You Never Walk Alone'. According to AllKPop, the other tracks are title song "Spring Day", as well as "Outro: Wings", and "A Supplementary Story: You Never Walk Alone".
Netizens are already going gaga on the MV as it is more fierce and upbeat. However, they were also disappointed for not giving more screen time to Jin. In the entire MV, he has only one shot, which has left fans sad.
In a strange occurrence, Big Hit uploaded Jin's shot (that was his only screen presence on the MV) as the thumbnail for both "Spring Day" and "Not Today" in the group's YouTube page. Surprisingly, this was changed back to group image few hours after the MV release.
The seven-member boy band was formed by Big Hit Entertainment and made their debut in June 2013 with the song "No More Dream" from their album, 2 Cool 4 Skool. Their debut album won several awards including the 2013 Melon Music Awards and Golden Disk Awards, and the 2014 Seoul Music Awards. "Most Beautiful Moment in Life trilogy" is their most popular album to date. It comprises of Rap Monster, J-Hope, Suga, Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, and V. To date, BTS's discography has sold an estimated 2.7 million albums worldwide. They were also named as the most retweeted artist on Twitter in March 2016 by Forbes.
A report on AllKPop recently stated that BTS has topped the popularity list for singers for the month of December. "According to the Korea Institute of Corporate Reputation, BTS was at the top of the December data for all singers," it added.
