The smartphone community is all hyped-up about amazing, high-tech features promised by Samsung Galaxy S8 and Apple iPhone 8. Given their incredible features and specs, it is anybody's guess that these phones could cost a fortune.
Yes, undoubtedly they will be pretty expensive. According to various reports, Samsung Galaxy is expected to cost around $900 while the iPhone 8 would be dearer at $1000.
Now the big question is if you are willing to spend this big amount to buy something which will be outdated in just a few years. The only answer to this question would come in the form of Xiaomi's budget offerings. Yes, we are talking about the much-hyped Xiaomi Mi 6.
GSM Arena has recently published some new leaks about the highly-rumoured Mi6 and it seems like it packs quite a punch under its hood.
According to the latest leaks, Xiaomi Mi 6 will have a full HD panel on the standard models and Quad HD panel for its prime ones. Now, compared to the Samsung Galaxy 8 and iPhone 8 it might seem like nothing at all but if we go by Xiaomi Mi 5, which launched last year, it was indeed a very good looking phone and so might be the Mi 6.
Xiaomi is actually planning to incorporate two variants for its Mi 6, just like that of Samsung Galaxy S8 which is supposed to come in two variants, Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. In terms of internal storage, Xiaomi Mi 6 will come in two variants - 32 GB internal memory with a 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal memory with 4 GB of RAM.
The Galaxy S8 has lately been rumoured to sport a 6 GB RAM, but it's still not officially confirmed. So, it should really be taken with a pinch of salt.
Although Samsung has dropped the idea of using Qualcomm's fastest and powerful Snapdragon 835 chipset, rumours indicate that Xiaomi has postponed the launch date of Mi 6 to April, which was previously set for 6 February. Xiaomi's move could be inspired by the delayed release of Snapdragon 835. If there is any truth to this rumour, you can get a smartphone packed with the amazing Snapdragon 835 in a cheaper price than Samsung Galaxy S8 or iPhone 8.
As far as its camera specifications are concerned, the Xiaomi Mi 6 will include a 12 MP Sony IMX386 on the rear and a 8 MP Sony IMX268 on the front, which sounds quite impressive.
