Fresh Geekbench test reports have surfaced online showcasing the key specifications of Samsung's upcoming flagship phones, the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. The Geekbench listings have also confirmed the exact model numbers for the two phones, wherein the S8 bears the model number SM-G950F while the S8 Plus carries the tag SM-G955U.
The listed Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus are highly speculated to be the carrier variants of the phones, wherein the model number ending with 'F' denotes the international variant while the one ending with 'U' stands for the US unlocked variant.
Some of the key specifications revealed in the Geekbench report include the Snapdragon 835 processor based on MSM8998 chipset and 4GB of RAM for the US variant of Galaxy S8 Plus (SM-G955U). On the other hand, the international variant of Galaxy S8 (SM-G950F) is powered by Samsung ARM processor (clocked at 1.5GHz) which is based on universal7420 chipset and paired with 3GB of RAM.
Both the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus will run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and will be unveiled at a special event in London and New York on 29 March. It may be recalled the smartphones were recently spotted in a leaked video confirming all known specifications till date.
