Tom Hiddleston has only good words for former girlfriend, American singer/songwriter Taylor Swift. The Bad Blood hitmaker and the 36-year-old actor had parted ways in 2016, after three months of dating.

During an interview with The Telegraph, the English actor was asked if he regretted "the publicity and gossip" that came with the relationship. He responded: "What should I regret, in your mind? I would rather not talk about this, if that's alright."

"I'm just thinking about this. Everyone is entitled to a private life. I love what I do and I dedicate myself with absolute commitment to making great art and great entertainment, and in my mind I don't conflict the two. My work is in the public sphere and I have a private life," he clarified. "And those two things are separate," he said.

Hiddleston added: "I have been working very hard and been away from home for the last three or four years, and I just needed to take a moment to catch up with myself. I've been in London for the last four months and I'm just having a breather and catching up and spending time with my family and friends which has been really nice."

Reports that Swift and Hiddleston are dating started making rounds in June 2016, after The Sun released photos of the two walking hand-in-hand on a beach, said to be in Rhode Island. Adding on, the Blank Space singer can be seen kissing the actor as well.

In December 2015, during an interview with NME magazine, Harry Styles' former girlfriend said she feels the world is too interested in her personal life. She told the publication: "I'm in the news every single day for multiple different reasons. And it can feel, at times, if you let your anxiety get the better of you, like everybody's waiting for you to really mess up – and then you'll be done."

"A lot of the time I need to call my mom and talk for a really long time, just to remind myself of all the things that are great and all the things that matter. If you do something that defines your character to be not what the public thought you were, that's the biggest risk," Swift added.
