Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye became the top South Korean actors, according to the United States-based fans of the Korean Wave who participated in a survey conducted by the Korea Creative Content Agency as cited by The Strait Times. Reportedly, almost 4,700 fans voted Lee and Park as their favourite South Korean stars.
Park was followed by Gong Hyo Jin and Lee Ji Eun, who is known as IU, they starred in Jealousy Incarnate and Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, respectively in 2016.
In 2015, Hyo Jin and IU co-starred in The Producers. Whereas, Park starred in Doctor Crush ,Entertainer, and Gogh, The Starry Night in 2016. The actress reportedly wrapped up a new film tentatively titled Silence, Soompi reported.
In the male category of the survey, Lee Joon Gi came second, followed by Lee Jong Suk. Joon Gi starred in Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo while Jong Suk starred in Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo, W, and First Seven Kisses and in Gogh, The Starry Night in 2016.
According to the reports, Jong Suk will be soon seen the upcoming SBS series, While You Were Sleeping opposite Min Ho's girlfriend, miss A's Suzy.
The story of the upcoming series revolves around a woman played by the 22-year-old singer who has the capability to see the unfortunate events in her dreams and Jae Chan played by Jong Suk, tries to stop her dreams from coming true.
In other news, The Heirs co-stars, Min Ho and Park may reunite in the sequel of City Hunter. Previously, AsiaStarz reported that Park Shin Hye will be replacing Park Min Young in the much-anticipated City Hunter 2. The news outlet also reported that the reason for the former leading lady to not return in the upcoming movie is something personal.
