Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean launches Singapore Community Games 2017

SCG will be held across three months till May 21 in Singapore.

Singapore's Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean launched the Singapore Community Games (SCG) 2017 at the new Our Tampines Hub on Sunday. The SCG started off with its new expanded list of games.

In addition to badminton, basketball, bowling, sepaktakraw and table tennis, this year the authorities has also added football to the SCG's list of sports categories.

Over 600 teams will be competing across the six categories in 2017 SCG. This is a 20 per cent increase from last year's SCG.

SCG is organised by the People's Association and Community Sports Club (CSC) Council. The event aims to boost the community spirit through sports. SCG will be held across three months till May 21 in Singapore.
