Nintendo is reportedly doubling up the production for the new Nintendo Switch. It's an extremely good news for all those gamers who didn't pre-order and now facing troubles to get hold of one of these gaming consoles.
According to The Wall Street Journal, Nintendo is rising up the production from initial 8 million to around 16 million now. Things are looking pretty promising for Nintendo, as this number clearly indicates that Switch will definitely outsell the Wii U, which only sold 13.5 million over the course of four years. However, the original Wii sold 17 million units in the first year, after the holiday launch and Switch has not even gone through a holiday yet.
The success of Switch over Wii U of course depends on the content, i.e., the games of the console. After one finishes The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (which will definitely take a longtime), there is Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Splatoon 2. And also is due by the end of the year, which could give an immense boost to the holiday sales. This year's E3 can also bring some surprises in terms of gaming in Nintendo Switch.
