A 28-year-old Thai woman claimed that she was raped by an Immigration officer at the Machap Umboo Immigration Depot in Malacca, China Press reported. She has lodged a police report through a friend, who is also a Thai national married to a local man.
According to the friend, both of them were picked up at a massage parlour in Malacca, together with three other Thai women at 11 pm on March 7.
"We were brought to the Immigration Depot the next morning, and on March 9, the Immigration officer recorded our statements," she told the Chinese daily. She claimed that her friend was raped during questioning.
She added that her friend possessed a marriage certificate and travel document. "She was so afraid and asked me to lodge a report when I was released."
