2PM's Junho has opened up about his kiss scene with Namgoong Min in Chief Kim. The 27-year-old actor played the role of a former prosecutor, who becomes a finance director at TQ Group (where Namgoong Min's character works).
Junho had received positive response from viewers for his character in the drama. During an interview, the actor said: "I feel like [that kiss scene] is the greatest moment of skinship (physical affection) in the whole drama. While skinship usually happens between an actor and actress, I was honored that the scene came to me. That scene was 100% ad-libbed."
"Namgoong Min was joking around and asked 'should we have a kiss scene right now?' The director thought it was a good idea but I was a little hesitant; however, after we filmed it, I realized how funny it was. We filmed that kiss scene so many times with different reactions to the point where we wondered if it was okay for us to be doing this," he added.
Chief Kim had received the highest viewership ratings in its time slot, for sixteen episodes in a row. After the finale, Logos Film, the production company, stated: "We once again express deep gratitude to all the actors who worked on 'Chief Kim' with lots of passion and affection. The actors and production staff did their best to make a high-quality production. We hope the audience's outpouring of love was because they recognized this work."
