Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has revealed that his upcoming biographical fim will not just be about his cricketing career but will also focus on bringing to light more details about the cricketer's personality.
On Thursday, Tendulkar along with Emmy nominated filmmaker James Erskine, who has written and directed the film, were in Mumbai, a bustling city in the Western Indian state of Maharashtra, to release the trailer of the feature film, which is slated for release on 26 May.
From the sneak peek, it is evident that the biopic will trace the humble beginnings of Tendulkar's life and portray how the Mumbai batsman, who retired from international cricket in 2013, went on to become one of the biggest icons of the sport. The trailer also hinted the film will have real-life footages of him playing cricket and his interactions with fans, former teammates and family.
Ever since the first-look poster of the film was released in April 2016, millions of Tendulkar fans have been waiting to watch his story unfold on celluloid. Not surprisingly, the trailer has gone on to garner a lot of attention on video sharing platform, YouTube.
"This movie is not just about my cricket career. It has many different chapters and we have tried to show those chapters as well. James has shown many sides of my personality in the movie, which many people are not aware of," Tendulkar said, as quoted by The Hindu.

Tendulkar narrates that it was India's 1983 Cricket World Cup triumph that had motivated him to pursue cricket, according to the trailer and the Master Blaster reiterated, on Thursday, that the Men in Blue's historic triumph in at Lord's against the West Indies was indeed his most memorable cricketing moment.
Notably, after several futile attempts to win a World Cup with Team India, Tendulkar finally achieved the landmark moment when MS Dhoni's men defeated Sri Lanka in Mumbai to win the 2011 edition of the 50-over quadrennial tournament.
"I was 10 when India won the world cup in 1983. Since then I only had one dream and that was to win the world cup. On April 2, 2011 that dream came true. So without any doubt it is my most memorable moment," Tendulkar added.
