Avid music buffs with jailbroken iOS device can now continue listening to their favourite music even during resprings, thanks to the new jailbreak app 'Don't Stop the Party'. The native music apps in iOS are designed to pause or mute whenever the device requires a respring and this limitation can be overcomed, using this new jailbreak tweak.
With due credit to iOS developers David Goldman and Wizages, the tweak enables users to play uninhibited music right through the respring process and it works on both native and third-party music apps like Apple Music, Pandora and Spotify.
As seen in the GIF image above, the music will continue playing even after the device has resprung to the Home screen and you can clearly see the pause option flashing on the screen once during the respring, while the music continues to play in the background.
However, this app works well only with apps that store music locally and not those which depend on an internet connection.
As iDownloadBlog reports, radio services like Beats 1 may experience minor stalling in playback during a respring while locally stored songs for the stock Music app and cached songs in the Spotify app will not.
Folks at iDownloadBlog have reportedly tested the app and found it to be working fine and it is said to be better than another similar tweak called 'MusicMark', which will only save the audio-track position in the Music app after the respring, without continuing the playback through the entire process.
Interested users may go ahead and try the free version of the app dubbed 'Don't Stop the Party Lite' via Cydia's BigBoss repo, before going ahead and buying the premium version for just $2.00. The app supports all jailbroken iOS 9 and iOS 10 devices.
Note: Unlike the paid version, the free version works only on the stock Apple Music app and it will not be compatible with third-party music apps.
