In less than a week's time, renowned YouTuber EverythingApplePro has run a second speed test for the latest flagship Android devices including the Samsung Galaxy S8, LG G6, Google Pixel, iPhone 7 Plus and OnePlus 3T. Although the iPhone 7 Plus seems fairly under-powered of the lot, it packs quite a few surprises in the actual speed tests.
The iPhone 7 Plus takes the pole position with the fastest app-loading times, with the Galaxy S8 finishing close on its heels at second place. LG G6, OnePlus 3T and Google Pixel appeared far slower than the Samsung and Apple flagship phones.
Moving on to the system memory aka RAM benchmark, the iPhone 7 Plus once again comes out on top, followed closely by the Galaxy S8. The other Android handsets leave a lot to be desired with a dismal 2x to 4x slower performance.
The iPhone 7 Plus continued its dominance in the Geekbench 4 as well as AnTuTu benchmarks while the Galaxy S8 finished in a close second. The rest of the devices had a largely forgettable performance scores in this round.
However, the S8 managed to outplay the iPhone 7 Plus in the multi-core benchmark, emphasising its supremacy with the octa-core processor chip.
Despite being a six months old handset, the iPhone 7 Plus clearly stands out as the best flagship phone in the performance class. If you are thinking of buying a high-performance smartphone then the iPhone 7 Plus will not disappoint you.
